Project highlight

Finally seeing the completed Recital Hall when exam season was over, after hearing lots of positive feedback. Seeing the interplay of acoustic treatment and lighting design and how it came together to enhance the ‘warmth’ requested for the acoustic character of the room.

The architect: Design Engine

The sector: Higher Education

The expertise: Acoustics, Lighting Design

The challenge: To translate subjective aspirations for each room into bespoke, objective acoustic criteria, and deliver them across a complex blend of retained historic fabric and new build.
